Treskavica

Treskavica (2088m) is located 30 km away from Sarajevo and offers unique alpine experience. With 2088 meters above the sea level, it is the highest Sarajevo mountain, and only 300meters lower than the highest peak in the country, Maglić. Mountain lakes, as well as bold contrasts between lush vegetation and rocky grounds make Treskavica one of the most beautiful mountains in the region. The largest and most beautiful of the five glacial lakes is Veliko jezero (The Great Lake), 220meters long, 185 meters wide, 6 meters deep and located at an altitude of 1548 meters.

The numerous springs and lakes distinguish Treskavica from all the other mountains.
