After your check in take a short time to get ready for the Sarajevo city tour.Day 2 – Visiting spring of the river Bosna, Tunnel of life, old town BascarsijaSpring of river Bosnia is most beautiful and visited park in Sarajevo. There you can enjoy fresh air, numerous water streams, watching birds, fish, swans and ducks. Our next destination is The Sarajevo Tunnel, also known as Tunel spasa or Tunnel of Hope. We will see and go through the Tunnel itself, but only for 25 meters. Sarajevo’s old bazaar and the historical and cultural center of the city. Baščaršija was built in the 15th century when Isa-Beg Isaković founded the town. Baščaršija is located on the north bank of the river Miljacka, in the municipality of Stari Grad. On Baščaršija there are several important historic buildings, such as the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and sahat-kula. Today Baščaršija is the major tourist attraction of Sarajevo.Day 3 – Mostar, Konjic & BlagajAfter breakfast departure to Herzegovina region. First stop will be in Konjic. Here you will have a short tour along the Konjic Old Bridge and a coffee break overlooking the Neretva river. Your next stop will be the highlight of the tour. Your guide will take you to Mostar and its Old Town. Then we will proceed to Blagaj. The Blagaj Tekke is situated by the spring of the river Buna, surrounded by beautiful mountains.. Overnight in Mostar.Day 4- Visiting Pocitelj and KravicePocitelj is historic village and an open-air museum in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the municipality of Capljina, in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The historic village is situated on the left bank of the river Neretva, on the main road Mostar-c, and it is about 30 kilometers (19 mi) to the south of Mostar and about 3 kilometers (1.9 mi) from center of Capljina. The village is built in a natural karst amphitheater along the Neretva river during the Middle Ages. Next destination is Kravice, a waterfall on the Trebižat River.The Kravica Falls area also has a little cafe, a rope swing, a picnic area, and a place to camp. The best time of year for visiting is during the springtime when the fall is at its fullest and the arid landscape turns a bright green. During the high season, various restaurants in the vicinity of the waterfalls mostly offer grilled dishes and fish specialties. Near the Kravica Falls is also a small grotto with stalactites made of calcium carbonate, an old mill and a sailing ship. The owner of the waterfall was a famous municipal councilor, landowner, benefactor and philanthropist from Ljubuski, Zaim-beg Selimic. Overnight in MostarDay 5- Departure to city Bihac and visiting Semesnica riverBihać is a city and municipality on the river Una in the north-western part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the Bosanska Krajina regionIt is a great place for a stop over and visit Semesnica river.The Semesnica is an 18 km long tributary of the Vrbas River. As a result of its vegetation and climate, it was chosen as the ideal location for settling beavers in 2005. The beavers were able to adapt along the river and the area around the Semesnica is now a protected area 10 km from the town of Donji Vakuf is an excursion area and fish rearing pond that can be reached via a gravel road. The excursion area is at the site where the Semešnica River descends in numerous cascades. This is the perfect place for a relaxing day trip in nature and visitors can enjoy freshly grilled trout.Day 6-Visiting waterfalls Strbacki buk and Japodski otoci We are visiting Japodski otoci, five small islands on Una River embedded in tranquil natural surroundings. The staff here is super friendly and will make your stay restful and comfortable. The next stop is the magnificent Štrbački Buk waterfall, which will simply take your breath away.Strbacki buk waterfall is a 25 m high waterfall on the Una River. It is situated on the border between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Overnight in BihacDay 7- Visiting Martin BrodUna River including the charming village of Martin Brod. According to legend, the town was named after a young girl named Marta who drowned in the river while crossing over to reach her beloved. Martin Brod is a place where you can admire numerous Una river waterfalls.No other Bosnian town gives so much importance to water as the town of Martin Brod. Not so long ago all its inhabitants lived from and thanks to water and its energy. There is a stream flowing by almost every house in Martin Brod; in recent times each of them have provided power for one or even two mills. People from surrounding areas brought grains to Martin Brod and thanks to the skill of its people and the power of water, they managed to turn grains into flour. Overnight in Bihac.Day 8- Visiting Ostrozac Castle,Bosanska Krupa,One of the most amazing castles in Bosnia and HerzegovinaThe Ostrožac castle was constructed in North Bosnia, 14 kilometers NE of Bihać, on the left bank of beautiful river Una, standing at the peak of 206 meters above the river.The first castle, according to information we have, have been built here already in 405 BC and was called “Orisio” or “Hostrosach”.But, the oldest part of today’s castle has its origins in the 13th century, when in 1286 it was for the first time is mentioned as the property of the Knez (duke) of Blagaj, from Babonic family. Babonics were Croatian noble family who were ruling the Old Town of Ostrozac since the left bank of River Una was not under the borders of Medieval Bosnia. Specific architecture style from medieval times in which it was constructed, gives this castle a very special charm and character of that time. You will aexplor the rich history of Bosnia and Herzegovina and seeking for it’s most important monuments and fell in love with the most amazing castle-fortresses in Bosnia – Ostrozac castle, still witnessing the incredible history of the region. You will see the perfect mixture of the architecture styles in this castle it is like traveling history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and you will have a short tour of different periods of our beautiful country and it’s amazing castle Ostrozac. Overnight in Bihac.Day 9- Visiting city Travnik, lake and waterfall in city JajceThis day is reserved for Travnik and Jajce tour. Travnik is one of the best-preserved cities from the Ottoman times. There are 28 protected cultural and historical buildings in this area. The most important of them are: the medieval fortress, built in the 15th century, Jeni mosque, which is the oldest building from the Ottoman period, Sulejmanija or Šarena mosque, Jezuit Grammar School and Elči Ibrahim-Pasha madrassa – muslim school that is still used today. There are also two clock towers built in the 18th century, as well as a sundial, built in 1886. After visiting Travnik we will continue to Jajce, the capital of the independent medieval Kingdom of Bosnia, a city of stone, light and water. The royal castle, town-museum under the open sky, was built on the banks of the rivers Pliva and Vrbas. Once you are there, you get the feeling of mysterious history of the place and you will rush to get to know it better. Overnight in Vlasic Mountain.Day 10- Vlasic MountainVlašić is a mountain in geographical center of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its highest peak is Paljenik with an elevation of 1,943 m. It is famous for its pastures, cattle breeding and cheese. It is closest to the town of Travnik, which it overlooks. Vlašić is a mountain in Central Bosnia. The most part of it is situated in the Central-Bosnia Canton and only partially in Republic of Srpska. Due to its position, the major part of Vlašić area belongs to several municipalities: Travnik, Kotor Varoš, Skender Vakuf, Dobretići, Vitez and Zenica. The nearest town is Travnik. The most popular touristic place is Babanovac (under Paljenik), recently established as a new center of winter tourism, often visited both by local and foreign guests. Vlašić is one of the most visited touristic destinations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and it is known by its long tradition of producing the famous Vlašić cheese. Overnight in Sarajevo.Day 12- Visiting Prokosko lakeProkosko lake is hidden paradise you need to explore. Hidden on the Vranica Mountain, through the history known as the hiding place of hajduks (outlaws), is located the magical natural amphitheater of the Prokosko Lake.The mountain eye, as many people still like to call it, is located at the site that is 22 kilometers away from Fojnica, at an altitude of 1635 meters above the sea level.The lake belongs to the glacial type of lakes and several springs with pure water are flowing into this lake, and, apart from its beautiful fairy tale surroundings, what makes this area so special is the fact that it is a home to the endemic subspecies of Triton. The mountain lodge Jezernica is located half way from Fojnica to Prokosko Lake, where you can take a rest from the ride. From there you can continue your trip on rented bikes, or go hiking on a marked hiking trail or go by your car.Day 13- Visiting Olympic mountainsTo escape from crowded cities and tourist attractions, our guides will take you to our Olympic mountains to enjoy the fresh air and surrounding nature and take a journey back in time when Sarajevo was the center of the world during its Winter Olympic Games of 1984. First on our way is mountain Bjelasnica. It is the highest part of the Dinaric Mountains. It is also best ski center in Bosnia and Herzegovina today. Alpine skiing disciplines of the Olympic Games were held on this mountain. In a beautiful mountain house we can enjoy hot tea. After Bjelasnica we are heading to Olympic mountain Igman. On this mountain competition held in Nordic skiing, biathlon and leaps. You can see jumping slopes still stands. After Igman we will proceed to Olympic mountain Trebevic. Here You can enjoy the most beautiful panorama. It was connected with Sarajevo by the cable car which was destroyed during Bosnian war and siege of Sarajevo. Mountain is known for competition in bob and sledging. For that purpose huge concrete construction has been built in the middle of mountain. Transfer back to hotel in Sarajevo. Trebevic is the closest Olympic Mountain to the city. As such, Trebevic has been one of the favorite local outdoor spots accessible by cable-car in only 12 minutes.Among the many mountains around Sarajevo, only to Trebevic you can say that it is not only next to or above Sarajevo, but it is literally in Sarajevo.Trebevic, an oasis of peace and greenery in the vicinity of Sarajevo, is an important tourist and recreation center, both in summer and in winter. Trebevic is a natural habitat for hundreds of species of trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants and a number of endemic species.During the 1984 Winter Olympics Trebevic, like the other Sarajevo mountains, was used for a number of Olympic events, such as bobsledding.Trebevic has been the main excursion site of Sarajevo citizens due to the favorable geographical position, climate and the beauty of the nature. The biological diversity is among the highest and it is extraordinary to find such a phenomenon near the hearth of the big city.Day 14- Bijambare Natura Park and shopping timeBijambare Speleological Area is a protected natural site located northeast of Sarajevo on Sarajevo-Tuzla Highway (approximately 40 km from Sarajevo). Bijambare Caves is a speleological complex surrounded by thick conifer forest, two brooks, small lakes, several springs and a great variety of mushrooms, medicinal herbs and some rare endemic species. The area is ideal for outdoor picnics, hunting, fishing, hiking, speleological research… The complex is comprised of several caves but only three are open to visitors.The most popular cave is Srednja bijambarska pecina or the Middle Bijambare Cave. It is over 400 m long with a passageway which branches into four chambers ornamented with stalactites hanging from the cave roof extending into spectacular curtains and stalagmites which form the cave floor. The forth chamber is the largest and it is called the “Music Chamber” due to its acoustic effects. The Central Bijambare Cave is home to bats and crickets and some other species. There are numerous findings from the Ice Age (animal skeletons) and Paleolite (cave men). A hundred meters from the Central Cave, you will come across the Lower Bijambare Cave, where the Brodic Crook sinks.
